An X-ray: This may be taken of your lungs and chest. If the asbestos is predicted to be in its early stages then a CT scan may be carried out in order to see clearly what the extent of it is.

The volume of Asbestos related deaths has unfortunately continued to rise, although it is believed this has now hit a top limit, which is in part due to the protective clothing worn when handling the material, and the material no longer being used in construction.

The delay between exposure to asbestos and the development of cancer is generally 20 or more years.
